Cannabis Grow Trip 20203 Meter Tall Cannabis Plant

The last couple years I have been sort of lax in updating the Cannabis Farmer website. Apologies. It is not that I have not continued to grow, but have not had the time or inclination to update the site with the photos and information.

Grow Trip 2020

The Grow Trip 2020 should be mentioned as it was the first time I had a plant that went over 3 meters tall! What a score. Over 2 kilos of dried bud from a single plant. I wish I could tell you where you could buy the seeds but it is impossible. The fact is I was smoking some bud, which had no listing on the bottle and a seed appeared. I put it in a Jiffy grow pod and out it came. Actually there were 2 seeds and both popped. The problem was one of them was a male and had to be pulled to make sure the other plant did not waste time and THC making seeds. The male was twice as tall as the female plant, so it sort of hurt to pull it. But in the end.. WOW! 3+ Meters tall. In the photo are three plants normal size in the foreground and the 3 meter big mama in the background taken in mid August.

Of course, as with all years the horror of bugs continued. Here is a photo
of what a sack of eggs from the nightmare caterpillars looks like. Attached to the bottom of leaves these will hatch and eat up every bud on a plant in a couple days. They look like splotches on the plants and they have to be taken care of. Most of the time I spend the mornings looking for the little green and zebra striped buggers and pluck them from the plants. I do smash them into the ground and have no mercy on them.

I used several known products to try and control these beasts. Dichotomous dirt, which I think works better on the ground to stop insects and other pests from crawling up the plant and Bacillus thuringiensis or BT as it is called by growers. While the BT seemed to work it does not. It will not affect eggs and it has to be sprayed on the pests directly. Plus you do have to stop it 2 weeks before harvest and watch manually any new buggers.

Here is the picture of just a part of the harvest from that singular 3 meter plant. Every branch of the plant was longer than my arm and fatter. It was truly magnificent. bigmama dried and readyIn the end it filled up 6 whole 4 liter bottles with bud. A harvest to be proud of.
